Campus

Logos Academy, founded in 1998, originally served 14 kindergarten and first-grade students who met at Christ Lutheran Church in downtown York City. As the school grew it moved into the East Market Street campuses of First Presbyterian Church and Asbury United Methodist Church. Today, Logos serves over 250 students in grades K-12 at our own facility at 250 West King Street, built by Wagman Construction in 2009. The $9 million dollar facility was designed by LSC Design to fit quietly into a setting that is bordered by the Codorus Creek and York County Heritage Rail Trail on the east side and Historic Newton Square Neighborhood on the west side. The building incorporates a Dempwolf-designed light tower that was part of the original industrial structural history of the site. The facility was originally designed to accommodate grades K-8, with two classrooms per grade, reaching a capacity of 325 students. Aside from classrooms, the facility has a spacious auditorium, lunch room, commercial kitchen, performing arts classroom, visual arts classroom, science classroom, cozy commons student space, an open-office administrative, and a large conference room.

Our historic building was used in the 1800’s as a paper recycling plant called First Capital Fibers and later was owned by Lavetan.

In 2014, Logos purchased the historic Cadillac Building at 255 West King Street, which was previously owned by the YMCA. This site will be utilized in the 2015-16 academic year to accommodate the expansion of our program.
