Giving through EITC/OSTC

Logos Academy participates in Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs.  In 2001, Pennsylvania Act 4 established the EITC program. Act 4 authorizes the award of tax credits to businesses that make contributions to scholarship organizations.

You may receive a tax credit of 90% of your gift if your business commits to two consecutive years of donations. If your business gives for one year, your business may receive a tax credit of 75% of your gift. Your company can give up to $750,000 for each tax credit program.

Qualifying for the EITC and OSTC programs is simple. Your business must pay one of the following state taxes:

  • Personal Income Tax
  • Corporate Net Income Tax
  • Capital Stock/Foreign Franchise Tax
  • Bank Shares Tax
  • Title Insurance & Trust Company Shares Tax
  • Insurance Premiums Tax
  • Mutual Thrift Institutions Tax
  • Malt Beverage Tax
  • Retaliatory Fees under section 212 of the Insurance Company Law of 1921

EITC and OSTC are two ways a company can give to Logos Academy. Some businesses choose to contribute to specific projects, like the Building Fund, or give equipment for our offices and classrooms.
