Hooked On Books

A great book has the power to shape a life, unlocking the most important stories, information, and pathways to learning. The love for reading starts when you are young.

Yet, in middle-income neighborhoods the ratio of books per child is 13 to 1, while in low-income neighborhoods the ratio is 1 age-appropriate book for every 300 children.

For 23 years, Logos Academy has been committed to reserving two-thirds of our seats for students who are those of the most need, living at or below the federal poverty level, and for 23 years we have continued to deliver on this.

For every $50 donation, you provide a take-home book for a grammar school student while also supporting student scholarships.  The Hooked on Books Campaign focuses on the equity of literacy across all demographics. Last year, the Hooked On Books Campaign raised over $6,000 to get books into the hands of students in grades K-5 and to support student scholarships. This year, the Hooked On Books Campaign seeks to raise $8,000 and provide books to students in grades K-6 while also supporting student scholarships.
